PART 11

One of many photos from Mount Scott in Oklahoma. This is looking out over Fort Sill and Lawton. I think OK 49 is the road shooting up from the bottom, next to the blue tower.

Another view from Mount Scott, where frustrated parents were lecturing unruly children.

Looking east over Lake Lawtonka.

This would be Elmer Thomas Lake - not Elmerdermis Lake. (An elmerdermis is the dried glue that coats the tip of a glue bottle.)

Pzt! Papp! Challenge! I tried to figure out what direction this is, but I could not determine it.

I'm guessing the road seen here is OK 49.

Pretty sure Elmer Thomas Lake is at right, Lake Lawtonka is at left, and OK 49 is between.

Descending Mount Scott Road.

Mount Scott Road again.

I'm guessing this is the dam at Rush Lake.

The Rush Lake road at OK 49/115.

I'm not sure of the road, but you can see a deer crossing it.

The deer saunters to the left.

Again, I'm not sure of the road.

Another deer.

Wichita Mountains is a wildlife refuge, so you get sights like deer and bison.

The bison again.

Another day is starting to sink into the sunset!

The road continues in the evening twilight.

I have no idea where this is.

This was the last photo of the evening before we went back to the campsite and built a bonfire out of a Brossart flyer.

I think this is looking up Headquarters Creek from a bridge on Elk Mountain Trail. This was as far as I could go on the trail.

Some boulders and formations near the trail. The plaque marks Sunset Pool, the name of the stretch of Headquarters Creek near here.
